Title: Systems Operations Analyst, Sr

Summary: Seeking qualified candidates to support a large server (IBM Mainframe) processing center with specific
skills in both MVS Operating systems and Workload Management. This position requires a high level of expertise
in MVS Systems, Operations and System monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work directly with Operations and MVS Systems Management to identify improvement opportunities with focus
on tuning to gain maximum utilization of system resources
Develop processes and procedures that maximize all resources
Monitor, manage and control Mainframe and all peripheral devices
Identify and resolve simple problems related to applications or system OS utilizing diagnostic tools.
Experience with large server (IBM mainframe) technologies and architectures in a complex, heterogeneous systems environment.
Performs complex operating system software updates and upgrades.
Coordinate with Systems support and executes new complex hardware systems migrations including system IPL's.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience in Mainframe environment
Experience: minimum of 3 -5 years experience working with multiple operating systems and platforms.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Must have broad, advanced experience with MVS operating systems and related software/hardware.
* Strong understanding of Workload Management in a high volume batch processing environment.
* Experience working with Capacity Management software products.
* Experienced in analyzing processing environments with focus on identifying improvement opportunities.
* Experience in working with various technical teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to perform as technical advisor to staff and management.
* Working knowledge of Zeke / Zebb or other scheduling software.
* TSO, SDSF, CICS, MVS, zOS, OS390, HMC (Hardware Management Console)
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project).
